Langmead Herbs is delighted to announce that it has acquired specialist fresh cut herbs company R&G Fresh for an undisclosed sum.

Established in 1958 and with a strong reputation for innovation and sustainability, R&G Fresh operates a state-of-the-art packing facility in Farnborough and is the sole supplier of fresh cut herbs to Waitrose.  It has established farming operations in Kenya which provide significant investments into the local community.

Sussex-based Langmead Herbs is an importer, grower and packer of cut herbs as well as a producer of glasshouse-grown potted herbs. The Langmead group has a significant farming operation across Suffolk and Sussex, producing herbs and spinach, and is known for its unique strengths in water resilience, packhouse innovation and its environmental credentials

R&G Fresh has been led for 26 years by Mat Prestwich, who will be staying on under the new ownership as Managing Director of R&G Fresh, ensuring operational continuity, retaining his expertise and providing confidence to the company’s customers, suppliers and staff.
